(Didn’t I just brag to a friend or two about how my kids have never been throw-up sick?)
Please pray for Ellery. We found her in her crib this morning with a nasty companion–dried vomit. (Doesn’t that make a mom feel the worst–knowing your child slept in that? She didn’t even cry, so I didn’t know!) She’s only thrown up once since then, and it’s been a couple of hours, so we hope it was just a fluke.
ETA: As of 3:50 p.m., the battle marches on. She continues to be ill, but is taking a nice, long nap. Thank you for your prayers. I wouldn’t choose this for my child, but it certainly helps me focus on Christ’s suffering on Good Friday.
ETA 2: Monday 4/9 – She’s all better! We kept her home from church yesterday just to be sure, but she’s really been alright since Saturday evening. Praise God that this was a quick thing!
*Here’s a great link for homemade oral rehydration solutions (like Pedialyte), if your child is ever dehydrated from vomiting, diarrhea, or too much physical activity:
i’m so sorry! i really hope it’s just a 24-hour bug thing for you guys…any change yet today? everyone else still healthy? thinking of you…

She’s not thrown up or had anything but pee in her diaper since yesterday, praise God!
But she seems sicker today, with the fever higher and some lethargy. (She’s on her second nap of the day! And she asks to go lay in her bed.)
Back to the good news, she’s drinking little bits of fluid and even had a tablespoon or two of some o-shaped cereal today, so that’s very promising. Thank you for checking in!
