a quick update
Posted in blessings, family life, house, ivcf on April 30, 2008 | 4 Comments »
We left for Michigan on Sunday.
Our house went on the market Monday.
Our first offer came in Tuesday.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
Thank you for your continued prayers. Please pray for more safe travel, and for God’s strong hand as we make decisions about counter offers and timing.

Right now, it’s 48. But the high today is predicted to be 82!! And mostly sunny! I want to walk through the park. Have a barbecue. Wear a dress. Go barefoot. Lay out in the sun.
Probably, I will paint. Or pack. Indoors. But, still.
I love spring!
(It’s interesting that when it was in the 80s last [...]

1/3 cup real maple syrup
1 tbsp. cornstarch
DIRECTIONS
Spray crockpot with olive oil spray, if desired. Place chicken in crockpot.

I love Hawthorne Yellow by Benjamin Moore. It now graces our entry, stairway, and hallway. Why didn’t we do this three years ago?
wonderful friends

The work party was zany and fun and very, very productive. We have wonderful friends (you know who you are, and you, student Ben, and you, too, blogless W family!) who did so much great work and helped us feel like maybe getting this all done really *is* possible. There were lots of kids playing [...]
getting ready

To see it, you wouldn’t imagine that this house is set to be on the market in two (or three) short weeks. It looks like we just moved in, or are renovating, or just had a baby last week, or something. Isn’t it crazy how the house has to get worse before it gets better? [...]
Revolution Money Exchange

Have you heard of Revolution Money Exchange, or RME? It’s making the Internet rounds as a PayPal alternative. It’s free, and right now, they’re giving you $25 just for signing up. (If you click the above button and sign up, I’ll get an extra $10 for referring you.)
I Googled it, and it’s legit. They will [...]

-patching/painting hallway ceiling
-patching painting bathroom wall/ceiling (luckily, our only bathroom is tiny!)
-install new [...]
