And it’s fast! We had a cable internet installed this morning (without cable television, of course). We get an okay introductory rate for three months, and a rather high monthly rate after that.
Once I get caught up, expect me to blog away. I can’t believe how much I missed blogging!

Dial-up…
Posted in general on August 20, 2008 | 10 Comments »
We may be resigned to dial up out here in the sticks. We have exhausted every major option, looking for DSL, to no avail. I don’t think we can survive with dial up! Jason’s work relies on so much internet-based stuff…
(I am at a coffee shop right now. Only four miles from my house. If [...]

The kids and I moved into the house with Jason yesterday. After three weeks of camping (two sleeping on the ground!), J was ready to sleep on our natural latex mattress. After four weeks of having sole responsibility of the children and two weeks of living without my husband, I was ready to have us [...]

Tomatoes from the neighbor’s garden
Yellow [...]

Feel free to leave your comments there, as I check in regularly.

I usually do all my kid blogging at their blog, but I have had picture requests lately. So I worked on uploading a LOT of photos to my dad’s computer. (I can’t wait to get my computer back!) I will sort through house photos to post in the coming days. But for now, a break [...]

The first week, we housesat for friends
The second week, we camped in a borrowed camper.
For week three, the kids and I are staying with my parents (an hour away, sadly) while Jason sleeps in a tent and his parents re-inhabit their camper and help with flooring installation.
It will be good when this is all over. [...]
wood heat

We are having an EPA-certified, efficient wood stove fireplace insert installed in our home next week. It’s this one – the Hampton HI300. It’s made by the same company that makes these inserts, Regency, only it’s a little prettier (in our opinion). There certainly isn’t a lot to choose from when shopping for good looking [...]
