We finally made one! I blogged about this years ago, but just finally got a box big enough to make it worth it. I hot glued two pieces of cardboard together for each piece, to make it sturdier. Then I used regular white glue to put scrapbooking paper up for the wallpaper. The kids chose the paper. (Obviously, I didn’t worry about covering the entire piece of cardboard.) I then cut random doorways. To connect the walls, I used a box cutter to slice halfway up one piece and halfway down the other. When you slide them together, they sit nicely. You’ll see what I mean if you try to make one.
They love it. All three of the bigger ones can lie down on their tummies and play at once, and our two sets of wooden dollhouse furniture (a master bedroom set and a living room set) fit very nicely inside. I love how it collapses down flat to take up almost no space. We store it between a wall and a bookshelf.
Another bonus? My Flor tile rug samples make nice area rugs for the rooms.

Oh!!! This is beautiful. I can’t wait to have kids old enough for something like this, I’m saving this link

Aww- we used to do something like that. I would just empty out the bookshelves in my room as a child and make each level a room in a house. Fun- but made a lot of mess with dollclothes on the shelves and all the books on the floor.
