No, I can't see them. Why don't you copy & paste into a new page instead of trying to edit the existing one? Just a thought.

Sorry! What a BIG pain. I had a similar issue with WordPress lately... maybe their experiencing technical difficulties???

Hi Serina

I am a follower of Jesus too, in Hilton, South Africa. I found your site through someone on the Yahoo wool soaker group (can't remember who though-maybe Tricia...unless you belong to it too?).

Last week your Links page had a ton of interesting places to search through, and now I can't find them. Am I missing them? Where did they go? What is confusing me is that on my Blackberry they're all there. TBH I wouldn't even bother you with this, but I have sent a link to your site to my cousin's wife who is starting to CD, and she will be even more confused than I am :)

TIA
Jill :)

Maybe if you are lucky, the Menonite community will come in and buy it! Where my family farms, almost everytime a local farm goes up for sale the local Menonite community pool their money, pay cash, and buy it for one of the families in their community. It's pretty cool! My Grandpa's farm has two next door neighbors who are Menonite. One is especially industrious. He has his own windmill and two greenhouses! He provides fresh produce for my Grandpa (and his wife sends him baked goods) all the time! They are such neat people!

Around here, the developers swooped in after the freezes of the early 80's devastated the local citrus groves and other farms. The farmers might have been able to recover -- the weather has been normal since then -- but the temptation of the offers from land speculators was too much for most to resist. Some local farmers hung on to their land for a while, helped by an agricultural tax exemption (otherwise taxes for increasingly valuable land would have been prohibitive). Our favorite plot of land -- actually a cattle ranch, rather than a farm -- managed to hang on through the tax exemption and also a creative renting of the land for art shows, campouts, and the like -- it was right in the middle of very, very prime real estate. But it, too, was sold, when the old rancher died and his heirs preferred the (very considerable) money to the land. :(

It is all very sad, and despite my general feelings against governmental interference, I believe it is a matter of national security (and therefore a proper governmental concern) to encourage small, independent, and diverse farming. Instead, we make it harder on those folks -- as we do on small businesses, which I see as critical to our national economy.

It's so exciting to hear the details of pregnancy. . . you sound like you are doing great. For #3, we were without a birth attendant one month prior to my due date. And, in the end, it all worked out. . . I'm sure it will for you, too.

Your list of things to learn in knitting echo mine completely! The trouble is, I knit left-handed, so that makes it doubly hard to find a mentor! There is a knitting group that meets at my library, and I wish I could join, but it is on the night that I work. It kills me to watch them all knitting, (I work at the library), wishing I could join!
